I must say that I don't like this result but it has been a long time coming. The republicans need this to get their message straight. I just hope Obama doesn't take full advantage of the fact that he will be able to do whatever he wants without any resistance in Congress (and without enough forethought...which will only result in making problems worse in the long run). I hope my hope is not in vain.
seriously...i don't think I have been disappointed in an election outcome before. But I also don't think I have cared much until now. At least prop 8 passed! That is one good thing.
It is so bittersweet. I'm glad that as a country we can shove aside feelings and traditions of prejudice. That is something to be proud of, but the man elected has the wrong ideas. No where in his experience has he shown the ability to actually accomplish something other than self promotion. It may be a long four years.
Bunna and Biff are having an Obama-rama! You and your campaigning at the Savoy Rec Center couldn't sway Bunna! We love Obama. Bush government bailouts sound more like socialism than Barak's political agenda. But we sure do like owning banks, insurance companies, mortgage firms, and American car manufacturers, etc. Obama! Obama-rama! Obama! Obama-rama!

Amen.
I don't know, I kind of like the idea of working my butt off to fund other people's laziness. It's like a form of charity.
:)
